We are Yuen Foong Yu Biotech Co., the subsidiary of Taiwanese Yuen Foong Yu Business Group. YFY Group was founded in 1926 with business domain diversified into paper, banking, LCD, education and biotech industries. Currently YFY Group is among the top 10 conglomerates in Taiwan.

At YFY Biotech, we specialize in the organic food and rare Chinese medical herb production. Since 1996, we have been collaborating with renowned research institutes in Taiwan to investigate the bio-efficacy of the endangered medical herb, Dendrobium Huoshanense (Herba Dendrobii). By breeding and tissue culture techniques, we successfully generated a patented new hybrid variant that produces higher amount of the bioactive constitutes in compared to the wild type. The cellular/molecular mechanisms of the observed bioactive effects and our clinical trials were further elucidated to provide a basis for new application of Herba Dendrobii product. In addition, we had established a GAP-complied (Good Agriculture Practice) proprietary production platform and started to mass produce and market Herba Dendrobii in 2007.

In traditional Chinese medicine, Dendrobium Huoshanense is categorized as top-class and has long been ranked the top three most precious herbs. It is used for the treatment of digestive track illness, diseases of respiratory system, skin disorders, and eye defects. Our scientific study and consumers feedback also show bio-efficacy on various immune-related disorders such as dermatitis or eye defects. Our standardized production and management ensure the stable quality of the raw material. We can supply the herb in various forms including raw plants, extracts (powder and liquid), capsules, tablets and tea bags. We can also provide our scientific findings on the therapeutic functions for due diligence once the cooperation relationship is built. At this stage, we already submitted the New Dietary Ingredient notification and GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) notification for our Dendrobium herbal products to the FDA of U.S. government.
